They have a lot of chain cottages. The premium rooms are at the bank of the lake and has balcony. Nice view but no houseboats were seen in the lake probably due to Covid. Breakfast has only 2 options, Puttu and Poori. Rooms were neat and clean. Hot water available. No intercom, need to call on mobile for everything.

A nice place to stay in Alleppy (Kumarakom). The place has nice open space, garden with flowering trees and few rows of suites and rooms. The rooms are good, clean and having good furniture and TV. The Washroom has running hot (morning time) and cold water. The staff are very good and co-operative. Wanted but could not play Badminton as the Rackets and Shuttlecocks of the Resort were kept in an official's Room and he could not be traced for more than 2 hours (till evening) on 15th Feb.

The resort is located at a Serene location overlooking the lake. The rooms are good with almost all rooms provide a Balcony overlooking the lake. Its a very picturesque location and proximity to lake gives a very relaxing feel. One can meditate with open eyes with calmness of the lake. The staff are very polite and soft spoken

Last time in the year 2014 at Kumarakom we had been in KTDC Waterscapes, which to us really appeared to be the God’s own country. This time since renovation work is going on there, we had to book KTDC Suvasam Lake Resort. We reached the resort during noon and went to the restaurant for lunch. Just after a few minutes it started raining, heavily raining and it continued for at least 40 minutes. After the rain stopped we headed towards our rooms, we were provided with. We saw rainwater getting scope to play entered our room and nearby all the rooms. We noticed some staff members were busy clearing the water from the verandah. The two rooms we were provided was big enough, though right from bed, the TV, the chairs, the cupboard were seemed to be pretty old and depressing. The commode at the wash room starts swaying while used. Our TV was not in action though others were on. I called one staff, who told me that due to raining the TV would not work. I confirmed him that I being from IT field know what is the problem with the TV though could not do the restoration work myself, since it is the property of the resort. On request they sent one staff and I showed him the problem and the TV came in action. The complementary breakfast here, no doubt, was delicious and best among the KTDC hotels this time we had been. And that’s all. We had two days booking. But after first night my son denied to stay there and started requesting me to leave the resort. Thus, we left the lodge after one night though we had two days booking there against full payment. This is a Government run resort and I hope they will take care of improving the same.

The extension is not working so could not call any body for tea or snacks even. They are taking dinner order at 6.30. pm Even for room service too there is a charge. Really not a good hotel. Except u can get the fullview in primium room only. Service and other are far below expectation This is not a resort itselfso just or stay But room service is poor Will not recommnd anybody
